MISSION
The Caribbean Actuarial Association (CAA) was officially formed in Jamaica in December 1991. Its birth represented the culmination of the efforts of a number of actuaries who worked in the Caribbean region. Their aim was to create an actuarial body that would have issues of concern to the region as its primary focus. The CAA’s Constitution was adopted on December 3, 1993.
The main objective of the CAA is to encourage and support the development of actuarial science in the Caribbean. The Association also strives to maintain the high standards and image of the actuarial profession
CAA CONFERENCE 2026
2026 CAA Conference
The 36th Annual Caribbean Actuarial Association Conference will take place in Paramaribo, Suriname from December 2nd to 4th, 2026.
Under the theme “Bridging Islands, Building Trust: Collaborations that Strengthen Our Future”, this year’s conference will bring together actuarial and financial professionals from across the region and beyond to connect, share insights, and shape the future of our industry.

CAA Actuarial Science Scholarship
CAA Actuarial Science Scholarship — 2026/2027 Applications Now Open
The Caribbean Actuarial Association is proud to offer the CAA Actuarial Science Scholarship, a US$1,500 award supporting the next generation of actuaries across the region.
Open to CARICOM nationals currently pursuing a career in actuarial science, the scholarship recognises students who are maintaining strong academic standing.
Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year close on August 31, 2026, with the scholarship to be awarded in September 2026.
